IPM or Integrated Pest Management is a cultivation method that fits into a sustainable use of plant protection products.

Since 2014, farmers and horticulturists have been obliged to apply the principles of IPM in their operations. This approach should lead to a 50% reduction in the use of chemical plant protection products by 2030.

The project aims to develop an application, IPM expert, that guides individual growers in implementing IPM strategies tailored to their farms and crops, from preventive measures, monitoring of attackers, applying non-chemical crop protection methods to finally - as a last alternative - the correct use of chemical crop protection products.

IPM expert should provide access to all crop-specific guidelines and info around sustainable IPM strategies. Hereby, complex information is unlocked to the grower in a simple, accessible and user-friendly way.
