Through its living labs, the food pilot, greenhouses, laboratories and test setups, ILVO currently has enormous data flows from IOT sensors, cameras on machines and drones, satellites and analysis equipment.

These data streams are currently not processed sufficiently quickly, resulting in potentially interesting information being lost. ILVO wants to make better use of the data it generates by developing an innovative platform with dedicated servers, software to test rapid AI prototyping and software that organizes and accelerates the labeling of large amounts of data.

This AI4Agrifood platform will first accelerate research and development at ILVO and, thanks to our Living Lab approach, will at the same time ensure that all actors in the agrifood sector can use the possibilities of AI.
