Preparation
Together with Aquafin, under the guidance of the consultancy firm Verhaert, a preparation process was started in autumn 2022 as part of this project. A needs analysis was prepared and the supply side and state-of-the-art were explored. With regard to sensorics, a market consultation was held on 26 September 2023. Finally, a draft solution and strategy were drawn up for this trajectory. The public report accompanying this preparatory trajectory is available at the bottom of this page.
To build a prototype of such an automated dewatering system, all kinds of sensor systems and control units need to be integrated into the current installation so that subsequent 'smart' control(s) can be implemented. However, especially the effectiveness / proper functioning of both the individual sensor systems and the 'smart' control require real validation at Aquafin in the form of an experiment / pilot project. In addition, the underlying OT solution architecture also needs further focus. Aquafin intends to invite tenders for the purchase and integration of the necessary sensors on the one hand and additional services to implement 'smart' control(s) on the other.
