Digital Teachers’card

Challenge

Every educational professional in Flanders can legitimize him or herself with the Teachers' Card. In exchange, he receives a discount on a wide range of educational, cultural and commercial partners. Currently, the teacher receives a physical card, printed on PVC. Klasse wants to digitalize the Teachers’ Card. This way, teachers can easily identify themselves digitally, online and offline, and get instant access to information about the activities, services and products the Teachers’ Card has on offer. A digital card also sustains a better data stream between Klasse, the Teachers’ Card’s partners and its end-user (the teachers).

In this way, Klasse can reduce its carbon footprint. Approximately 215,000 (biodegradable) cards are now printed each year. Digitalization can substantially lower this number or make printing completely redundant. Secondly, the end-user gets a better service: no waiting time, easy replacement in case of loss and access to customized and up-to-date information. Finally, Klasse, the Teachers’ Card’s  partners and its teachers can come to a more accessible and relevant offer thanks to a better information flow.
