E-info point staff

Preparation

To meet the challenge, as part of the 'E-info point staff' project, a preparation process was launched in September 2020 in cooperation with consultancy firm Foursevens. In a first phase, several working sessions were organised with internal stakeholders of the City of Ghent to assess the desired functionalities and the innovation potential from a user point of view.

An online market consultation with potential suppliers and service providers was organised on 26 January 2021 from 13:00 to 16:30. You can find the publication announcing the market consultation in e-notification here and in the Official Journal of the European Union (OJEU) here.

During the market consultation session, moderated discussions were organised, in parallel breakout rooms, on partial challenges of the E-Info Point. Both technology-specific and cross-technology topics were discussed with about 50 participants in a very interactive way. Furthermore, the feasibility of the intended functional specifications was probed and the potential risks inherent in the innovative solution were identified.

The presentations given during the market consultation by the City of Ghent, PIO and Foursevens are bundled below in one document, which you can find at the bottom of the page under documents.

The final report on the preparation process and the market consultation can be found at the bottom here under documents.

An 'E-info point', based on innovative technology, should be the solution that is at once groundbreakingly smart and easily accessible. A tool that combines simplicity for the end user with underlying intelligence in retrieving and aggregating personal and legally correct information from different applications.

During 2021-2022, District09 translated the insights into a mission document that we hoped to publish in spring 2022. Due to unforeseen circumstances internally at District09, the publication was placed 'on hold' in April 2022.
