Various government organizations assess file applications (in the case of approvals or subsidies) on both the substantive ambitions and the business acumen of the applicant. The latter is used to determine whether the applicant has sufficient business maturity to successfully complete the proposed assignment or project.

The project proposal concerns the development of a digital tool 'Quickscan Organizations' and the underlying algorithm. The development of this tool will make it possible to automate the business assessment and eligibility process and reduce the time investment for the applicant and the assessors.

From a risk-conscious approach, it thus relies on objective parameters and implies efficiency gains for both parties. The applicant and evaluator can thus focus their energy on the substantive ambitions and the realization of the assignment or project.

Over time, the intention is to open up this project to other entities within the Flemish government.
