To better identify the challenge in the context of the 'Vertihydro' project, a preparatory phase was started in March 2020 in collaboration with the consultancy company Verhaert. Various work sessions were organized with internal experts to assess the desired functionalities and the innovation potential from a user perspective.

An open market consultation (OMC) with potential suppliers and service providers was organized on 24 September 2020 (at INAGRO Iepersesteenweg 87, 8800 Rumbeke-Beitem).

For the purchase of innovative hydro plants, the contract will be launched in February 2023. The order aims to increase the efficiency of greenhouse greenhouses by focusing on growing in height and multiple use of space, so-called vertical greenhouse farming.
