In consultation with Sport Vlaanderen we appointed Verhaert New Products and Services to support this project and prepare the procurement. This was done on the basis of 

• a thorough needs analysis in the form of workshops with end users and stakeholders to focus on the needs
• a thorough market analysis or search for possible partial solutions and potential suppliers/developers on the basis of desk research 
• an open market consultation in the form of an online workshop with the industry to check how feasible (technologically, legally, etc.) the wishes of Sport Vlaanderen were in terms of development, time, budget, risks, etc. The consultation took place on Thursday 31 May 2018 in Wilrijk. 

Verhaert has summarised the insights from the workshops with the sports federations and market players in a report, which you can find below, in Dutch and English.

The results of the market consultation determined the final approach, including the tendering procedure, and provided input for the preparation of the tender document.
