The contract was awarded to Skyhaus bvba, aka ML6, in late 2021. Implementation started in mid-January 2022.

A nice double interview with Nick Lagast (project engineer at AWV) and Jens Bontinck (Head of Labs at ML6) appeared in DataNews of 28/04/2022, entitled 'Agency Roads and Traffic works with ML6 on smart lighting along motorways' by Dries van Damme.

In spring 2023, the project was nominated for a Computable Belgium Award in the IT Project of the Year in Public Sector category. You can read the article here.
