The autonomous municipal company Stedelijk Onderwijs Antwerpen offers education to 55,000 students and trainees every day. Approximately 6,545 teachers, employees and policy people are employed for this purpose.

Every year in every school the puzzle is solved to schedule the right teachers with the right talents in the right place in the organization. This is a complex exercise that requires a lot of time.

That is why Antwerp Municipal Education, together with Digipolis, wants to develop a planning platform (an 'intelligent assistant planning platform' or IAP) that enables every director to professionalize and optimize the distribution of assignments, taking into account the profiles, talents and wishes of the teachers on the one hand and the needs of the organizations on the other.

This way, every organization/school gets the best team and everyone in the organization is in their place.
