Incontinence care 2.0

Preparation

Needs analysis

Addestino organised workshops with ZorgSaam's care staff during January and February 2020 to identify in more detail the needs from elderly care (residents, caregivers, technicians, etc.) towards smart incontinence materials. During these workshops, the caregivers listed and prioritised the various functional features that the sought-after solution should ideally possess to make a difference for them and the residents. The analysis produced a list of prioritised use cases (must-have's and nice-to-have's).

Market analysis

Addestino Innovation Management then started looking for possible (partial) solutions and suppliers on the market to make an initial assessment of the feasibility of these features/use cases.

Preliminary market consultation

In order to effectively check the feasibility (technological, businesswise, etc.) of the use cases envisaged by ZorgSaam with the market players themselves, a market consultation was organised. The invitation to the consultation was made public through various channels (e-notification, PIO newsletter, sector federations, etc.) well in advance so that all potentially interested suppliers could participate.

The market consultation was initially scheduled for 17 March in Brussels, but was held online on Tuesday 16 June 2020 in the afternoon from 1pm to 5pm due to Covid19.

Report

For the sake of transparency and in accordance with the Public Procurement Act (art. 41 regarding the organisation of preliminary market consultations), the results of the needs analysis and market consultation were compiled in a report that is publicly available. The report is written in Dutch, but there is an English summary at the front of the report.

The final report can be found at the bottom of the page under documents.
